Sharing this year’s Sepang 1000km Endurance Race was an exhilarating experience. It marked my return to the race since 2017, with many drivers from Taiwan striving for success despite the challenges posed by the epidemic in the past three years. This year, two racing cars were prepared to challenge the SP2-V group, which closely resembles the original Swift and is akin to the international N group.
Starting 8th in the class, I took the helm as the first driver for car #77. The race began on a wet track due to heavy rain the day before, presenting a daunting challenge. Despite sliding off the track during the warm-up lap, I managed to make significant progress, moving from P8 to P1.
However, our momentum was interrupted by a fuel level issue midway through the race, necessitating an extra pit stop and costing us a podium finish. Nevertheless, the race was filled with variables, and setbacks were inevitable.
Undeterred, we are already looking forward to returning to Sepang next year to tackle the 1000km endurance race once again. The spirit of competition remains alive, and we are determined to continue pushing our limits. Until then, we'll be honing our skills at the Top Time Racing Simulator.
