Ningbo International Speedpark is a circuit that is both unforgiving to GT3 machinery and exhilarating to drive. Fast, flowing, and lined with blind crests and elevation changes, it offers almost no margin for error. Ask anyone in the paddock, and you'll hear the same answer: this was the most technically demanding circuit of the season.
For TEAM SX83, the challenge was even greater.
We arrived without a single pre-event test session.
No installation laps. No previous data to reference. No opportunity to build confidence before qualifying. Every adjustment had to be made in real time—guided by instinct, the driver's feel for the circuit, and rapid analysis of VBOX telemetry after each run.
From the very first lap, there was no luxury of easing into the weekend.
Every braking point, every turn-in, and every throttle application demanded absolute commitment. Every lap pushed the drivers' concentration and adaptability to their limits.
There was no safety net. There was no time to settle in. Only the challenge ahead.
Race 1: P3 — Fighting Back from the Brink
Jackson took the opening stint and immediately threw himself into the battle. The pace was there, the rhythm was there, and everything was unfolding according to plan.
Then came the setback.
A slippery patch of asphalt caught the car out, sending Jackson into contact with the barrier. In most races, that would have marked the end of the weekend.
Instead, he demonstrated the composure and racecraft of a complete driver. Remaining calm, he quickly assessed the damage and carefully brought the car back to the pits, preserving the team's opportunity to continue.
When Su Yen-Ming climbed aboard, he inherited a car that was no longer at full strength—but never backed down.
Lap after lap, he fought his way through the field. Position by position, he reclaimed lost ground, refusing to let the earlier setback define the outcome. By the checkered flag, TEAM SX83 had secured P3—a podium earned through determination, resilience, and relentless execution after coming within moments of losing everything.
Race 2: P2 — A Podium Built on Performance
Race 2 was a statement of what the team was truly capable of.
Armed with the lessons learned from Race 1, TEAM SX83 returned with a clearer strategy, sharper execution, and an even greater determination to deliver.
From the moment the lights went out until the checkered flag, both Jackson and Su Yen-Ming extracted everything from the car. Every lap was driven with precision, commitment, and complete focus.
The reward was P2.
It was a podium earned on outright pace—a result that reflected the true speed, consistency, and potential of this driver pairing. More importantly, it proved that even after adversity, TEAM SX83 had the pace to fight at the very front.
Looking Ahead
A double podium weekend—P3 and P2—was the strongest possible response to the disappointment of Shanghai.
Behind these results was the commitment of the entire team. Every decision made in the pit lane, every strategic call under pressure, and every single bolt tightened by the crew contributed to this achievement.
A podium in GT racing is never created by one person alone. It is built by everyone who works together behind the scenes, often in moments where there is no room for mistakes.
