TEAM SX83's simulator brand, TEAM SX83 simlife, has collaborated with numerous simulator shops to establish the Taiwan Apex SimRacing League (TAS) in 2024. In February, we hosted a three-hour endurance race using Assetto Corsa, which saw participation from 17 teams and a total of 51 racers. The event featured comprehensive rules and regulations, and penalties were enforced by a panel of professional drivers. The large scale and professional planning attracted many racing enthusiasts to participate. This year's second event is in partnership with the Chinese Taipei Motor Sports Association to serve as the qualifying round for selecting representatives for the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games (MSG) in Spain.
The second TAS event will officially commence on August 3rd at 3 PM (GMT+8). The first round of the race will use Assetto Corsa and will be conducted in teams of 3-4 for a four-hour endurance race. Participants can choose from three cars: Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3, Audi R8 LMS GT3, and Lamborghini Huracan GT3. The race will take place at the Fuji International Speedway in Japan and will be broadcast live on Twitch with pro-racing commentary.
All racers from the top three teams in the first round will advance to the second round of individual qualifiers on August 17th. This round will feature a sprint race using Assetto Corsa Competizione with the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 EVO at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. The winner will be sponsored by Asetek Simsport's Taiwan representative, Team SX83 SimLife, and MOZA Racing's Taiwan representative, Feather Technology. The sponsorship includes airfare, accommodation, entry fees, and the cost of the D1 international license (totaling approximately NT$100,000). The winner will represent Taiwan at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in Spain.
