ARES 12 | 12Nm Optical Encoder Direct Drive Wheelbase
ARES 12 features a purpose-built 12Nm skew-pole direct drive servo motor and a 23-bit high-resolution optical encoder. From steering input and force feedback changes to subtle vehicle dynamics, the system delivers precise, smooth and consistent feedback.
23-bit High-Resolution Optical Encoder
The 23-bit optical encoder provides an angular resolution of less than 0.01°. Compared with commonly used magnetic encoders, it offers highly precise and consistent position sensing for detailed steering input and force feedback.
Purpose-Built Dual-Skew Motor
CONSPIT developed the motor specifically for sim racing, using a dual-skew stator and rotor design to reduce cogging torque, torque ripple and electromagnetic vibration. With torque response rates of up to 9.5Nm/ms, changes in road surface, tire behavior and vehicle dynamics can be communicated rapidly through the wheel.
12Nm High Torque Density
A high-permeability core, high-performance neodymium magnets and optimized motor architecture allow ARES 12 to deliver up to 12Nm of torque from a compact wheelbase.
Measured Force Feedback Tuning
During development, the ARES series is tested using high-precision dynamic torque measurement equipment. Torque range, response speed and high-frequency detail are measured and refined to create natural and direct force feedback.
Conspit Link 2.0
Conspit Link 2.0 allows detailed force feedback adjustment, real-time wheelbase monitoring and custom presets, with official profiles developed together with professional racing drivers and race engineers.
